Dispositif : Après l'alinéa 173, insérer l'alinéa suivant : « L'engagement structurant de l'État consiste également à renforcer les heures de français à l'école primaire et au collège à Mayotte et à mettre en place des cours de français obligatoires et gratuits pour les parents d'élèves ne maîtrisant pas ou mal la langue française. » Exposé sommaire : L'éducation à Mayotte fait face à des enjeux particulièrement importants, qui se traduisent par des résultats scolaires préoccupants. En effet, le niveau des Mahorais à l'école est largement inférieur à celui des élèves de la France hexagonale. Si l'on se réfère aux tests de niveau mis en place par le Gouvernement depuis 2017, les jeunes mahorais accusent notamment de grosses lacunes en français et en mathématiques. En français, alors que le niveau moyen des élèves de sixième de France hexagonale est de 256,7 points, il n'est que de 189,2 points à Mayotte, qui se trouve ainsi au bas du classement national. Il en est de même en mathématiques (254,1 points en moyenne nationale, 183 sur Mayotte). Ainsi, cet amendement vise à renforcer les cours de français à l'école de la République et, d'autre part, à en imposer également aux parents maîtrisant mal la langue française.
